Reflections
The sun set o'er the gilded sea
As the moon began to rise,
And twilight loomed so gracefully
Across the blushing skies.
As the moon began to rise,
And twilight loomed so gracefully
Across the blushing skies.
The mingled lights played in the heav'ns
And a hush fell across the land.
The last ships sailed into their havens
And the waves curled softly on the sand.
And a hush fell across the land.
The last ships sailed into their havens
And the waves curled softly on the sand.
"A time for peace in heart and mind,
For watching the Designer's hand,
As He colours the fiery lights entwined:
From the beginning, this night He planned.
For watching the Designer's hand,
As He colours the fiery lights entwined:
From the beginning, this night He planned.
Our wonderful God, who all things made!
And watches over them with care.
O, that I would always what He bade,
And let Him all my griefs to bear.
And watches over them with care.
O, that I would always what He bade,
And let Him all my griefs to bear.
The wondrous beauty He spreads abroad,
Just for the ending of a day
Should draw our souls to Him applaud,
And remind of this: He'll love us alway.
Just for the ending of a day
Should draw our souls to Him applaud,
And remind of this: He'll love us alway.
For even the sparrow cannot fall,
Without He sees its swift demise;
How much more His love for us all!"
Thus spake the quiet man, aged and wise.
Without He sees its swift demise;
How much more His love for us all!"
Thus spake the quiet man, aged and wise.
May God bless you all! Good night.
Rachel
