Following Your Father In His Strength

"Come unto me,
all ye that labour and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you,
and learn of me;
for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy,
and my burden is light."
Matthew 11: 28-30
This week our church is having a week to work at a camp our pastor directs. We will be getting the camp ready for the camp season. I have been planning on going for several months. This last week though, I ended up having a reaction to allergy medicine and caught a summer cold. Last week pratically all I could do was sleep. It was awful. I ended not even packing until Sunday afternoon, and I fell asleep while doing it.
I prayed and prayed about whether the Lord wanted me to go. In my heart I knew that the Lord wanted me to go, but my flesh just didn't feel like it. I struggled and struggled. Finally, I found these verses.
I realized that the Lord would give me His strength even when my body didn't want to go. It was really neat, because Sunday night I committed going to the Lord, then Monday I woke up early, and was feeling a lot better. The Lord gave me the strength I needed.
The Lord will give you the strength you need also, if you are wiling to just commit your physical weaknesses to Him and take His yoke upon you.
