My Theme Verse

After reading Sarah’s thoughts about a theme verse, I figured I would share my theme verse. For a long time, Isaiah 40:31 has been my favorite verse:

but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

It reminds me to keep my hope in the Lord, and not in my own strength. Sometimes, this promise is all that keeps me going. When I am weary, and tired of trying, I know I can put my hope in the Lord, and He will be faithful to reward that hope.

Recently, God has been showing me a myriad of verses about hope. He keeps reminding me that, when everything falls apart, I am still to hope in Him, and He will bless my faith. I am confident that He is the one, true God, and I cannot help but believe that He will keep His promises. Because of that, I can hope in Him, and I will continue to do so, even when my life is in shambles.
