Advice

Nearly everything we do requires some sort of preparation.

Some require more preparation than others. Yet, without it, the task would be impossible to complete with any degree of excellence.

As young people, we are often told that the single years we have been blessed with are a season in which we are to prepare for all that the Lord has for us in the days that might lay ahead.

Whether we live it beyond the single years and get married, die as a young single, or stay single forever, these are years we must not waste.

How might we not waste them?

By living each day in light of and in service to the Gospel.

One of the best ways to prepare is to watch, question, and apply.

There is an older generation that we must learn from.

We must put into practice the wisdom that they have to teach us.

I have learned that the very best way to prepare for all that lies ahead, is simply to live life serving.

Be on the look out for people who need help. Even if you really don't know much about what they need done, tell them your situation and ask if they'd be willing to let you give them a hand.

I think you'll find that the more you serve, the more you learn, and the more you learn the better you are prepared for whatever God has for you.

After all, there's always room to know more and to know what you know with more depth.

1 Corinthians 8:2

If anyone imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know.
