Lessons from Ruth

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I'm going through the book of Ruth this month.
John Piper showed me how women must look to Ruth as an example of what a woman should be.

A godly woman is what I am striving to be.

Being godly is the ideal....So, the ideal woman is one who:

1) Has faith (internal) in God that goes beyond and sees beyond the present bitter experiences (external, circumstances) with God.

2) Has freedom from the securities and comforts of home, family, and this life.

3) Has courage to venture into the unknown and strange.

4) Has a radical commitment in the relationships that God has appointed.
