Today I was reading "The Duties of Parents" by J.C. Ryle.
I'm not sure exactly where it can be found, but I know that you can find it online for free.
I would encourage you to find it, print it, grab a pen, and sit down to consider what this man has to say.
As Ryle says in this work, "It [child rearing] is a subject that concerns almost all...Few can be found, I think who might not influence some parent in the management of his family, or affect the training of some child by suggestion or advice."
This whole work is good. Even so, there were many points which proved extremely important to me. As I worked my way through it, I began to see its application to my own life.
I have decided that I will be using this article to do a series of posts over at my personal blog and I hope you will join me as I share what I learned as I studied it.
